Effective date: June 30, 2026. This policy explains how FamilyCoins: Rewards & Vault handles information in the current offline-first release.

Overview

FamilyCoins: Rewards & Vault ("FamilyCoins", "we", "our", or "us") is a family organisation app for chores, coins, rewards, focus timers, quizzes, reminders, family records, health notes, vault items, shopping lists, journals, and memories.

The current App Store release is offline-first. Core family records are stored locally on the user's Apple device by default. FamilyCoins does not operate an account system for this release and does not use advertising or behavioural tracking.

Information families may store in the app

Families may choose to enter information such as:

Family member and parent profile names, avatars, ages, and preferences.
Chores, family-created task ideas, approvals, coin balances, rewards, and redemption history.
Focus timer sessions, quiz answers, weekly review notes, and progress history.
Family vault records, passport or document expiry reminders, warranty records, insurance notes, vaccination records, and medical notes.
Shopping items, birthday or special-day reminders, day logs, photos, travel memories, and achievements.

In the current release, this family content is stored locally on the device unless the user exports it or shares it outside FamilyCoins.

How data is stored

FamilyCoins stores app data using local device storage protected by iOS. The Parent PIN is stored in the device Keychain. Local notifications may be scheduled on the device for reminders the family creates.

If the app is deleted, locally stored FamilyCoins data may also be deleted from that device. Parents can use the in-app export feature before deletion if they want a copy of local records.

Data collection and tracking

FamilyCoins does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not track users across apps or websites. The current release does not require login and does not send family records to FamilyCoins servers.

If you purchase optional features through the App Store, Apple processes the transaction and may provide FamilyCoins with verified entitlement status so the app can unlock purchased features. Apple's handling of purchase information is governed by Apple's policies.

Younger family members' privacy

FamilyCoins is designed for parent-managed family use. A parent or guardian controls setup, Parent Mode, rewards, approvals, exports, and erasure. Younger family members should use FamilyCoins with parent or guardian supervision.

FamilyCoins does not knowingly collect personal information from younger family members on our servers in the current offline-first release.

Health and vault records

FamilyCoins can help families keep personal notes about health, vaccination, insurance, and document reminders. FamilyCoins is not an official medical record, emergency service, or source of medical, legal, insurance, or identity-document advice.

Families should retain official records and contact qualified professionals or emergency services when needed.

Export, deletion, and user control

Parents can export family data and permanently erase local FamilyCoins data from within the app. Exported files may contain sensitive family information and should be stored or shared carefully.

Because the current release does not store family records on FamilyCoins servers, requests to delete server-side family records generally do not apply to the current release.

Future cloud features

FamilyCoins may add optional cloud sync, household sharing, remote notifications, or online helper features in future releases. If those features are released, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before they are made available to customers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
